Description
This is a newly developed F1 hybrid variety, early to medium maturity. Plants exhibit moderate vigor with a vining growth habit. The first female flower appears on nodes 9–12 of the main vine. Fruits are flattened-round with a warted surface; immature fruits are green, while mature fruits turn dark green. The variety has good eating quality, storability, and transportability. Average fruit weight is about 2 kg, with an average yield of around 2,000 kg per mu (≈13.3 tons per hectare).
Adaptability
Well-suited for cultivation in Chongqing and surrounding areas. For other regions, it is recommended to conduct small-scale trial plantings before expanding to commercial production.
Cultivation Guidelines
Suitable for both spring and autumn planting, either by seedling transplanting or direct seeding, at optimal temperatures of 20–29 °C. The variety is sensitive to photoperiod and should not be grown in regions with day length exceeding 13 hours. Recommended spacing is (1.5–2.0) m × (0.8–1.0) m, with 300–500 plants per mu depending on soil fertility. Vines should be trained and pressed down to encourage growth. Apply sufficient basal fertilizer; reduce nitrogen application while increasing phosphorus and potassium to prevent excessive vegetative growth. Under low-temperature conditions, artificial pollination is advised to improve fruit set. Pay attention to powdery mildew prevention and control.
